The Grundy County Board has set forth key goals to enhance the safety and quality of life for employees and residents, improve operational efficiency and service quality across all areas, and continue to reduce the property tax rate. Additionally, the county aims to cultivate a welcoming environment for businesses to stimulate economic growth and will review the 2015 Comprehensive Plan to ensure alignment with current needs and priorities.

The plan also aims to engage partners for the advancement of the mission and addressing community health needs.

The 2016 ADA Transition Plan for Grundy County aims to fulfill the requirements set forth in Chapter 8 of the Bureau of Local Roads & Streets Administrative Policy, in accordance with the guidelines of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The plan includes conducting a self-assessment and inventory of needs, soliciting public input, incorporating new practices and procedures, developing an implementation schedule, and ensuring compliance with IDOT ADA guidelines. It focuses on prioritizing sidewalk ramp reconstruction efforts based on the needs and physical conditions of the ramps, and working closely with municipalities to correct deficiencies.
