The board meeting included discussions on Homeland Security assessments and potential grant funding, the planning process for a new GHS North parking lot, an update on the 11 11th Ave project, and upcoming BoardDocs training. Other key topics were property insurance changes, approval of a swing set purchase and donation, backstop repairs, vehicle purchases (a truck and a suburban), and legislative priorities. Discussions included the impact of school vouchers and the need for additional funding for concurrent enrollment. A presentation on College/Career Readiness options at the High School highlighted various pathways, work experience opportunities, and apprenticeships. The board approved the purchase and installation of heat pumps, accepted a donation for before-school supervision, and approved the first reading of the 400 Series Policy. A change to CompuClaim as the Medicaid billing vendor was also approved. Finally, the board discussed sending a letter to legislators regarding the voucher bill and future funding needs.

The meeting will include a public hearing on HVAC, review of bills, approval of consent agenda items (including minutes, claims, contracts, and personnel matters), communication from the public, superintendent's report (covering various topics such as resolution updates, staff recognition, insurance, parking, year highlights, training, and RSAI updates), old business, and new business (including bid approvals for HVAC and dishwasher installations). A curriculum director presentation is also scheduled.
