AGWSR Community School District

The AGWSR Community School strategic plan is centered around providing excellent education to foster lifelong learning and develop students into self-respecting, contributing adults. The plan focuses on creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment where all students can achieve at least one year's growth in all areas. Core values include respect, responsibility, and teamwork, with collective commitments to helping others succeed, communicating value, honoring those absent, and collaboratively solving problems.

The Cougar Impact PTO strategic plan focuses on enriching the AGWSR middle school experience by supporting students, staff, and families through appreciation, opportunity, and meaningful connections. The vision is to ensure every student grows and thrives in a positive, supportive school community by bridging efforts between school and community. Key strategic goals include sustainable funding, community engagement, staff appreciation and wellbeing, providing field trips and learning experiences, and student rewards and the Cougar Store.

The board meeting involved discussions on various topics, including the 2018-2019 budget, school calendar, and personnel matters such as staff appointments, resignations, and contract approvals. Key agenda items also included reviewing administrator reports, addressing concerns about security measures, and approving bids for various projects like fence construction, flooring replacement, and safety equipment. The meeting also covered open enrollment requests, curriculum approvals, and collective bargaining agreements. A public hearing was held for the 2018-2019 budget and school calendar.
