The meeting included a presentation on the Guaranteed Energy Savings Program, a report from the Finance Committee, and a review of various policies. The board considered proposals for food service beverages and gasoline for vehicles, as well as filters for HVAC units. They also discussed compensation and expenses for board members and toured the new Valley Middle School building construction.

The committee addressed several policies and recommendations regarding adoption, including ACG related to child safety liaison work groups and mandatory training. Policy 5640, concerning health, child abuse, and neglect reporting, was recommended for rescission. Amendments to existing policies such as ABAD for virtual schools, ABEA for wellness, and FFI for student use of personal technology were approved. New policies like GACA for virtual instruction and ACCB for the protection of student victims of sexual offenses were also approved. Additionally, the committee discussed and approved amendments to policies related to patriotic exercises, alternative methods of credit for high school graduation, suspension and expulsion, student conduct and discipline, student education records and privacy, signing bonuses, extracurricular participation requirements, accommodating students with allergies and special dietary needs, military leave, human trafficking and exploitation prevention and awareness education, board meeting agenda and pre-meeting preparation, public participation at board meetings, school board elections and terms of office, and golden age pass. The committee also discussed board member compensation and recommended an increase for the vice president's compensation in 2025-2026.

The agenda included a fall enrollment report, discussion of NDSBA opportunities for board member development, and school board committee appointments for 2025-2026. The board approved the guaranteed maximum price related to the demolition of the Carl Ben Eielson school building and perimeter fencing for the new Nathan F. Twining school building. Amanda Weston Caillier was introduced as the Air Base's new military family life counselor (MFLC).

The meeting included an update on the Consolidated Grant Application for 2025-2026 Federal Title Funding, which reported an overall decrease in federal title funding. There was a discussion regarding school board compensation and comparisons with other school districts. The board also considered and approved an increase in prices for elementary breakfast, elementary lunch, secondary breakfast, secondary lunch, and adult breakfast.

The school board retreat included a review of the draft strategic plan proposed for 2025-2030 and a budget overview, where the administration's goal to structure a budget that aligns with the strategic plan was discussed. The board members participated in a practice exercise involving hypothetical choices between expenditures. Additionally, the proposed implementation plan for boundary line adjustments in the fall of 2026 was reviewed.
