Glen Oaks Community College

This Annual Report details the progress made during a year of renewal, growth, and strategic direction, highlighting the development of a comprehensive three-year strategic plan. This plan, launched in 2025, outlines six primary pillars: increasing enrollment and diversifying programs; driving student success and career skill development; amplifying workforce development; optimizing fiscal, physical, human, and technological resources; enhancing community awareness and engagement; and fostering a vibrant workplace culture. The plan aims to guide Glen Oaks Community College towards a future characterized by sustained enrollment growth, student success, robust workforce development, and strong community partnerships.

The meeting included a CDL program update, a treasurer's report, and a state/national legislative update. There was a discussion about creating a training manual for the Board. The board approved a college credit card for the Director of Student Housing and an adjustment for the South Side Renovation Project. Updates were provided by the Vice-Presidents of Academics, Student Services, and Finance & Administration, as well as the Executive Directors of Human Resources, Communications & Marketing, and Institutional Planning, Assessment & Research. The president discussed the renaming of leadership teams and upcoming events.

The Glen Oaks Community College Board of Trustees certified that the College meets the best practice standards required for State Appropriations as per Section 230(2) of the State School Aid Act (MCL.338.1830).
