Work of this contract comprises in general of the existing site containing three buildings that discharge sanitary waste to a gravity sewer system consisting of clay pipes that are in poor condition. The scope of work for the proposed project includes replacement of the existing 6” clay sanitary sewer piping with new 6” pvc sanitary sewer piping. The project proposes to construct the new sewer piping parallel to the existing so that the downtime for sanitary service for the buildings is minimized. Other site improvements include replacement of concrete sidewalks and stair assembly that will be disturbed during the sewer replacement work and construction. Additional information is included on the drawings and within the specifications. The contractor must provide all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the construction for the owner, including all incidental work as required or described in the contract documents.
