City of Brownsville Council Council Meeting

The Council Meeting addressed several administrative and community matters. The board approved appointments for the Conservation Board, Library Board, Regional Planning Commission, and Housing Authority Board. Members voted to update the Sewer Use Ordinance in accordance with environmental regulations and authorized a bank account update for a new alderman. Additionally, the Council approved a roadblock permit for a 5K run organized by the Bradley Jones Foundation to raise suicide prevention awareness. The meeting concluded with a review of financial management reports and a city manager's report highlighting local community programs, the groundbreaking for Haywood High School, and various youth and safety initiatives.
