The committee reviewed Resolution 2026-05 regarding investment meeting dates, discussed the definition of liquidity and investment maturity terms for the county, and reviewed an investment report on performance and rates. Action was taken to maintain the current one-day liquidation policy for the LGIP and to retain the current detention investment until the subsequent meeting.

The Board of Commissioners discussed several key topics including uranium mining policy, the FY 2025 audit report, and the Affordable Housing Act. Agenda items included the approval of budget adjustments for election and law enforcement funds, the presentation of a wildfire preparedness and operational readiness plan, and consideration of administrative matters such as housing ordinance development and county department requisitions. Additionally, the Board reviewed and approved the 3rd Quarter Financial Report.

The Board of Commissioners discussed the Budget and Finance Report and welcomed the new Cibola General CEO. Additionally, the board addressed policy directions regarding local uranium mining, authorized the County Manager to execute a professional services agreement for a public safety training center, and approved the issuance of notices for the termination of contractual agreements with CoreCivic and Immigration and Customs Enforcement related to civil immigration detention services in compliance with state law.
