The Blair Oaks R-II School District's strategic plan is built upon three priority areas: Effective Teaching and Learning, Collaborative Climate & Culture, and Student Health and Safety. It aims to improve student performance by increasing the percentage of students meeting state standards annually through enhanced instruction, curriculum alignment, and interventions. The plan also focuses on fostering a positive and welcoming school environment, monitored through annual culture needs assessments, and ensuring student well-being and safety through comprehensive programs including emergency preparedness, bully prevention, and mental health support.
The meeting included discussions and approvals regarding the District Assessment Plan, the District Professional Development Plan, and a quote from Legend Fitness for new BHS weight room equipment. The board also reviewed revisions to various board policies and regulations, covering topics such as school year and school day, public access to district documents, student records requests, discipline, athletic activities, substitute teacher employment, and emergency operations plans.
