Village of New Concord Council Meeting Minutes
The council received departmental reports covering police activity, fire and EMS calls, financial status, and administrative and operational updates, including water and wastewater department projects and zoning permit activity. Discussions included concerns about semi-truck traffic, the state salt contract requirements, and hanging baskets on Main Street. A presentation on the Comprehensive Community Plan was given. Committee reports were provided by the Policy, Safety, and Finance committees. The council passed ordinances to establish a special revenue fund for the police department and to adjust appropriations, as well as a resolution adopting the 2026 comprehensive plan. An executive session was held to discuss the discipline of a public employee.
