Key discussions focused on reviewing the matrix for hallway behavior expectations, including demonstrating care for others, using inside voices, respecting personal space, acting responsibly when entering/exiting, actively listening, and honoring the speaker. Student achievements were recognized, including completion of a program and progress in the library reading challenge (Bronze Medal reader for Level 3). Announcements covered the completion of testing, reading Chapter 7 of 'Stella Diaz' over the weekend, and acknowledging students dressed up to celebrate the 100th day of school. Questions regarding the book reading included identifying family members' English proficiency, the state where Stella's dad lives (Colorado), a word Stella mispronounces ('three' sounding like 'tree'), and what a speech teacher might give her (a sticker).
