This Student Attendance Plan establishes a consistent, district-wide system for promoting regular attendance, identifying attendance concerns early, addressing root causes of absenteeism, and engaging families. The primary goal is to reduce chronic absenteeism by 30% districtwide by the end of the 2026-2027 school year. It outlines a shift from a reactive truancy process to a preventive attendance-success model through tiered interventions, family engagement, school climate improvements, and specific roles and responsibilities to achieve improved student attendance and educational outcomes.
