City of Cumming Work Session
The council reviewed proposed zoning ordinance amendments, noting that public hearings are anticipated in the coming months. A significant portion of the session was dedicated to discussing a proposed tree beautification project on Marketplace Boulevard. Due to concerns regarding potential liability and municipal responsibility for items placed within the right-of-way, the council voted to postpone the project for further legal and logistical investigation. Additionally, the council held an executive session to discuss matters of pending and potential litigation.
