Dr. Paul Turman, Chancellor of the Nebraska State College System, extended official greetings, emphasizing the graduates' legacy and preparedness for the future. The commencement address was delivered by Dr. Chuck Welch, President of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, who offered ten life tips for the graduates, stressing the importance of family, authenticity, relationships, taking risks, voting, and living deliberately. The event concluded with the formal presentation and conferral of Master's degrees for the Class of 2025.
The Master Academic Plan 2019-23 for Chadron State College serves as a foundational component of the institution's strategic direction, Chadron State 2030. It is organized around three core priorities: People, Purpose, and Place. The plan aims to enhance student and employee success through recruitment, retention, engagement, and leadership; foster student learning and growth via pedagogy, support services, and wellness; and strengthen community engagement, positioning the college as a model Rural Serving Institution. The NSCS Strategic Plan was reviewed, and volunteers were assigned to lead SOAR analysis for constituent groups.
