The Town Board conducted a Public Hearing on the proposed Town of Chautauqua/Village of Mayville Joint Comprehensive Plan. The Town board approved minor edits to the plan recommended by the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Development as well as minor changes made by Pashek MTR and approved by all members of the Comprehensive Plan Committee. The Proposed Town of Chautauqua/Village of Mayville Joint Comprehensive Plan was adopted.

The Town of Chautauqua Zoning Board of Appeals convened to discuss several cases. The first case involved an appeal for new construction requiring a variance for lot size and side yard setback distance. The second case focused on the appeal for the establishment of a Planned Unit Development (PUD), requiring a Special Use Permit, with discussions around the site plan, potential traffic impact, water usage, and community concerns regarding the project's effect on the neighborhood's character. The board decided to keep the case open for further review at the next meeting.

This Joint Implementable Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Chautauqua and Village of Mayville outlines a community-driven vision for the next decade. The plan focuses on four key areas: Economic Vitality, Community Livability and Housing, Land Use & Development, and Mobility & Access.
