Long Beach Transit Board of Directors Board of Directors Meeting
The Board meeting included an update on World Cup 2026 transit operations, lessons learned from that event, and future planning for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Board authorized a three-year contract with Inter-Con Security for security and transit ambassador services and adopted a resolution for Fiscal Year 2027 funding applications under the Transportation Development Act and State Transit Assistance programs. Additionally, the Board received reports on the Transit Gallery Improvement Project, including two design concepts for bus shelter upgrades, and an overview of Long Beach Transit’s vendor programs and local vendor engagement strategies, including the impact of federal DBE program changes.
