It focuses on four strategic priorities: expediting employee housing delivery, mobilizing municipal resources for the Big Moves Climate Action Plan, preserving Whistler's unique culture and natural assets through Smart Tourism, and strengthening community engagement. The plan aims to achieve a vision where the community thrives, nature is protected, and guests are inspired.

The meeting included a review of the term welcome, nomination and selection of the Chair and Alternate Chair, and a council update. Several presentations were conducted, covering the annual committee update to the Committee of the Whole, the Sunflower Lanyard Hidden Disabilities program, progress and findings of Whistler Public Library accessibility-focused audits, improvements to the accessibility feedback channel, and the revised Access Whistler Map.

The committee meeting focused on a roundtable discussion regarding climate and environment-related items, and a detailed update on the Transit Future Action Plan (TFAP) from BC Transit, which included a review of goals, service issues, and opportunities for feedback. Additionally, the committee discussed the upcoming committee report back to the council.

The committee held a session featuring roundtable updates on current initiatives, including waste reduction, community engagement planning for Earth Week, transit planning, and the integration of climate resilience across various municipal sectors. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a presentation on the Strategic Climate Risk and Resilience Assessment, which aims to identify climate hazards—such as wildfires, extreme weather, and drought—and develop community resilience recommendations. Additionally, the committee reviewed the proposed meeting cadence and priority topics for the upcoming year.
