The board convened for a special town hall meeting to conduct a discussion regarding the school improvement bond measure.

The board meeting was held as a study session to engage in a presentation regarding a school facilities improvement measure. Additionally, the board conducted a closed session to deliberate on a public employee appointment, resulting in the unanimous approval of the appointment of Katie Tweltridge to the position of Principal of Twin Oaks Elementary School.

The Board discussed and took action on several items, including the approval of a new Local Control and Accountability Plan and the district budget. A resolution was adopted to place a general obligation bond measure on the upcoming ballot for the community's consideration. The Board also reviewed and authorized various contract extensions for food and supplies, updated Board policies regarding mobile communication devices, and approved personnel appointments and new high school elective courses.

The Board of Education recognized the contributions of family partners and staff, honored the Whitney High School Varsity Girls Cross Country Team, and received reports from the California School Employee's Association. Action items included approval of a contract for the Rubrik enterprise backup platform, the Parker Whitney Elementary School exterior painting project, and various personnel and service agreements. The Board also approved the Early Retirement Plan Agreement for teachers and the School Plans for Student Achievement and School Accountability Report Cards. Additionally, information regarding the 2025 California Dashboard and revisions to Board policies was reviewed.
