Mcc Board of Trustees Regular Meeting
The meeting included a commendation for MCC employees who contributed to reopening the MCC-Penn Valley Health Science Institute after flood damage. The Chancellor introduced a new associate vice chancellor of advancement and the president of MCC-Business & Technology, who provided an overview of the campus and its programs. The Board also discussed and tabled the Economic Development and Incentives Resolution. Additionally, they discussed applications for and acceptance of funds from external sources, revisions to a Board policy on conflict of interest, professional personnel recommendations, and district insurance contribution rates for 2017. The Treasurer's Report was reviewed, along with bids and general agreements. A public hearing was held regarding the General Fund Levy, and the Board renewed institutional memberships and approved various purchases. They also approved an allied health agreement and contracted service agreements. The meeting also addressed concerns from the Faculty Negotiations Committee and the MCC Missouri National Education Association regarding the negotiation for compensation process and faculty salary increases.
