44th District Court Traffic Docket
The court conducted a traffic docket involving multiple civil infractions. The magistrate addressed several cases concerning speeding violations and violations of the hands-free mobile device law. In each instance, the court explained the rights and options available to the defendants, including admitting responsibility, admitting with an explanation, or denying responsibility to proceed to trial. The magistrate accepted pleas of responsibility and, following recommendations from the officer, frequently amended the charges to impeding traffic to assist defendants with zero-point violations and managing fines. The court also provided instructions on payment portals and deadlines for fine settlements.
