The strategic plan, implemented in 2015, focuses on enhancing the effectiveness of the Veteran Service Officer (VSO) program. Key initiatives include the forward deployment of VSOs into nine new districts across the state and the creation of a formalized training and accreditation program to improve VSO effectiveness at state and county levels. The overarching mission is to connect Arkansas Veterans and their eligible dependents to state and federal benefits.
