Benton County Planning Commission Planning Commission Meeting
The commission held a continued discussion regarding a specific land use application. The main topics included the applicant's burden of proof regarding criteria, disclosure of any conflicts of interest or ex parte contact, and a debate over the methodology used to meet the 'pattern test' requirements. Commissioners debated whether the applicant's engineering solution and interpretation of ambiguous code language satisfied the county's requirements, specifically concerning impacts on resource lands and compliance with the comprehensive plan.
