Discussions included the regulatory requirements for assisted living, the non-transferable nature of the state license, and the low frequency of expected emergency services calls. The commission also addressed inquiries about building safety, egress controls, and resident evacuation protocols.

The commission agenda includes the review of Certificate of Appropriateness applications for two properties, grant applications for one of those properties, and landmark applications. Additionally, the meeting will feature preliminary reviews for conceptual feedback, a discussion on design guidelines, and time allocated for public comment.

The Plan Commission discussed and took action on several items. The commission reviewed multiple Certificate of Appropriateness applications, including proposed exterior signs, repairs to fascia, soffit, and windowsills, and building upgrades such as masonry coatings and the construction of a new residential building. Façade grant requests were evaluated for restoration projects, and preliminary reviews were held for temporary outdoor dining structures. The commission also engaged in a design guidelines discussion and received updates regarding commission member transitions and local landmark designations.

The commission will meet to discuss funding allocation recommendations to be presented to the City Council for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
