The Council of the Borough of Rosslyn Farms will hold a public meeting to consider the adoption of an amendment to Chapter 148 of the Borough of Rosslyn Farms Code of Ordinances. The amendment authorizes the construction of new sanitary sewers and the assessment of associated costs to the benefitted properties. The proposed ordinance would authorize the Borough to construct new sanitary sewer mains and establish the terms by which the costs of constructing said mains may be assessed against the benefitted properties and by which the aforementioned assessed costs shall be paid, collected, and liened.

The council discussed issues regarding trash collection, lowering the flag to half-staff on 9/11, CCTV work, a permit application for Club, and the condition of borough roads. They also discussed a proposed ordinance for sewer assessment, PennVest financing for sewer and water connections, and police activity. The council reviewed disbursements, a franchise agreement renewal, a SHACOG salt bid award, and pension contributions. Code violations, landscaping work, and the installation of a new boiler were also addressed. Additionally, discussions were held on a speed hump, playground improvements, dead tree limbs, and property maintenance issues.

The council meeting included discussions on the Club Road sewer project, including the authorization of engineering services and the requirement for grinder pump maintenance agreements from residents. A new ordinance was discussed regarding zoning inspections for changes of tenant in the industrial district. The council approved disbursements and authorized the purchase of a new laptop for the Secretary/Treasurer. The Evergreen Montessori lease extension was acknowledged, and the replacement of the Community Center boiler was ratified. Additionally, a grant application for the Active Pathways Project was authorized. Other topics included resident payment options for the sewer project assessment, maintenance issues, park equipment suggestions, and deer culling.

The council discussed modifications in Parrish Park, sidewalk and driveway citations, and maintenance items to keep the Borough looking good. They reviewed CCTV proposals and awarded a contract to State Pipe Services, and discussed the sewer assessment ordinance. Updates were provided on code management, community facilities including the new boiler installation, and various grant applications. The council approved a grant application to the GEDTF grant program and the payment of the application fee for the Club Road Force Main Project. They also accepted the revised design for the Parrish Park playground and discussed addressing dead tree limbs on borough and private property, as well as landscaping at the pool and Community Center.

The council meeting included discussions on the Club sewer project, a draft ordinance for snow removal from sidewalks, and a draft zoning ordinance regarding Certificate of Use and Occupancy requirements. The police report for February was reviewed, and a new streetlight was authorized. The council discussed financial reports, disbursements, a code update proposal, franchise fee renewals for Verizon and Comcast, and sewer billing refunds. Committee reports covered code management, community facilities, finance/grants, human resources, infrastructure, parks/recreation, and waste/recycling. The meeting concluded with an executive session to discuss pending code enforcement.
