The board discussed departmental reports including public health initiatives, livable communities, and community alliance activities. Additionally, the committee discussed a State Opioid Response funding project, including harm reduction education, community safety and prevention kits, and public awareness campaigns. Other updates included shared news on partner events, the release of the annual report, podcast episodes, and the promotion of the upcoming Fresh & Fit Fest.

The meeting agenda includes discussions and potential actions on several ordinances, including a comprehensive plan amendment for the Emerald Reserve (Southridge Area) Master Plan, design guidelines for sign plan and permit reviews, and regulations regarding animals and fowl in park and agricultural districts. The board discussed and determined a process for filling a vacancy on the Village Board. After evaluating the option of a special election, the board reached a consensus to fill the vacant trustee position through an application process, with the appointment recommendation scheduled for a future special meeting.
