This document outlines the foundational principles for Seymour Community Schools, establishing a vision of "Soaring to Excellence: Every One, Every Day." The Board will consider an additional appropriation not to exceed $19,810,000, plus investment earnings, for renovations and improvements to school facilities, including roofing, HVAC, MEP, and site improvements, as well as the purchase of equipment and technology. The funds will be provided by the sale of real estate to the Seymour Elementary School Building Corporation.

A public hearing regarding a proposed Lease Agreement between Seymour Elementary School Building Corporation and Seymour Community Schools will be held. The lease is for twelve years, involving renovations to Brown Elementary School. The lease includes details on rental payments, insurance, taxes, and an option for the School Corporation to purchase the property. Plans and estimates for the renovation costs and a copy of the proposed Lease are available for public inspection.

The Board preliminarily determined to enter into a lease agreement and issue bonds to fund renovations of and improvements to school facilities, including roofing, HVAC, MEP, and site improvements, as well as the purchase of equipment and technology.

The meeting included personnel reports covering retirements, resignations, appointments, leaves of absence, administrative leaves, and transfers. Discussion included updates on building projects, contract claims, and an affidavit of payment for bond issuance expenses. The board accepted a donation, approved applications for grants, and made decisions regarding summer school programs, replacement of serving lines at elementary schools, a renewal agreement with Indiana University, updated state guidance on masking, and a communication system update. First-read items included handbook reviews, summer feeding programs, quotes for a new point-of-sale system, PA system updates, and weight room equipment updates.
