The board meeting included discussions and actions on several key issues. The Finance, Personnel, and Economic Development Committee presented reports and resolutions, including support for Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment grants for Brightspeed and Frontier Communications, authorization for a lease agreement with the Wisconsin State Senate for Senator Daniel Feyen's office, adjustments to the fee schedule for the Food Safety and Recreational Licensing Program, and allocation of funds from the closure of Tax Increment District No. 10 to departmental budgets. Additionally, the board adopted the 2025-2029 Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan and received a presentation on the Jail Ad Hoc Committee Summary, which was referred to the Public Safety Committee.

The joint meeting involved discussions and actions regarding a recommendation for jail site selection and facility design. A motion was passed to direct the County Executive to prepare an RFP resolution for the design of a Jail, Sheriff's Office, and Justice Center at the Scott Road location. The design will include phased construction, and costs will be evaluated upon receiving the RFP. A resolution is scheduled for consideration at the County Board meeting on December 16, 2025.
