This action plan outlines the commitment of the Ville de Rouyn-Noranda to foster an inclusive community where all individuals can participate fully, regardless of their abilities. It aims to reduce barriers and enhance accessibility across eight key municipal sectors: public spaces and buildings, housing, information and communication, transport and mobility, sports, leisure, culture and community life, public safety, municipal administration, and professional integration and social participation. The plan seeks to build an open, equitable, and adaptable city that serves as a model of sustainable inclusion, recognizing diversity as a strength.

The council meeting addressed various zoning bylaw amendments to regulate home-based mobile services and to allow specific uses in designated zones, such as provincial public administration and welding services. Additionally, the meeting included a session of the demolition committee to authorize partial demolition and renovation work for a single-family residence. The council also handled general business, including the renewal of an airport lease agreement, requests for local events, and appointments to regional boards. Updates were provided regarding the ongoing management of the foundry file and the upcoming launch of a citizen participation policy.
