Texas Workforce Commission Commission Meeting
The commission approved performance targets for the 2027 board contract year regarding child care services and adjustments to the fourth quarter of the 2026 board contract year. Proposed rule amendments to Chapter 842 concerning WIOA Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity were authorized for public comment. The commission approved the adoption of rule reviews for five rule chapters (808, 821, 835, 849, and 850) and initiated the review process for an additional five chapters (801, 803, 805, 815, and 839). Furthermore, nominations for multiple local Workforce Development Boards were approved, and the agency's cybersecurity team received a Star Award for their successful management of an IRS audit.
