The board of directors convened a special meeting for the purpose of attending the commencement ceremonies for Sequoia High School.

The board meeting primarily consisted of an annual retiree recognition ceremony to acknowledge staff who retired or are retiring for the 2022-23 academic year.

The board held a special meeting to attend the Washington Association of School Administrators Region 109 Awards Ceremony. The event honored student achievement and community involvement, with awards presented to Mimi Brown for professional learning leadership, Dr. Betty Cobbs for her long-standing contributions to education, and student Alice Gilbertson for leadership and advocacy. Additionally, the meeting included retirement recognitions and honors for long-term service.

The board held a special meeting for the purpose of attending high school graduation ceremonies for Cascade High School, Jackson High School, and Everett High School.

The board participated in an audit entrance conference for the annual review conducted by the Washington State Auditor's Office. Discussions during the conference covered the audit schedule, confidentiality, audit results, meal approvals, and training for the Alternative Learning Experience audit, as well as plans for accountability, financial statements, and federal grant compliance reviews.
