Additionally, the Board established new district goals, formed advisory committees to address artificial intelligence and universal meals, approved the Superintendent's evaluation tool, and finalized changes to the SAU Non-Union Handbook following a non-public session.
The operations and finance committee meetings focused on the introduction of a new consultant to the finance department. The committee reviewed a facilities report regarding the sports complex, specifically discussing construction status on phase two, including the replacement of the softball press box and design challenges related to the installation of an ADA ramp versus stairs. Additionally, the committee received an update on district-wide building assessments conducted by external contractors, with a goal to formulate a 10-year long-term strategic plan for capital improvements and to discuss potential future funding strategies.
The committee meeting covered personnel matters, including the acceptance of multiple staff resignations and nominations for various positions such as paraeducators, lunch monitors, and coordinators. Stipends for guidance leads and athletic director roles were also approved. The finance report highlighted general fund budget expenditures, revenue collections, and specific transportation cost allocations, as well as a status update on the school lunch fund and capital projects.
