The board convened to consider and approve the order canvassing returns and declaring the results of the School Trustee Election.

The board meeting covered several key operational and educational topics. Discussion items included the review of the 2024-2025 budget, compensation plans, design development for the new Brazos Crossing Administration Building, conceptual designs for High School #8, and the Student Code of Conduct. Key actions included the approval of staff salaries and teacher hiring schedules, as well as the establishment of attendance zones for Tomas High School, Banks Junior High School, and Bielstein Middle School. The Board of Trustees conducted a regular meeting that included various recognitions for student academic and extracurricular achievements, as well as an Honor Roll District designation. The Board approved the consent agenda, which included financial reports, budget amendments, an RFQ for a delinquent tax attorney, and various proclamations, with the exception of the independent auditor renewal, which was discussed and subsequently approved. Additionally, the Board approved an innovative CTE course for 7th and 8th graders, reviewed demographic and budget reports, and discussed campus climate surveys. The meeting concluded with actions taken on personnel recommendations following a closed session.
