Chester County Integrated Water Resources Plan 2024-2045
This updated Integrated Water Resources Plan for Chester County, adopted in 2024, aims to protect, sustain, and enhance the quality and quantity of the county's water resources through 2045. The vision is to achieve sustainable water resources that provide clean water, support healthy aquatic and wildlife habitats, enable thriving communities, and offer abundant recreational opportunities. The plan addresses challenges such as population growth, climate change, and water quality impairments, building on past successes in water quality improvement and resource protection. It is structured around seven primary goals focusing on water quality, water quantity, resource management, and community involvement, with tailored priorities and strategies for each of Chester County's 21 watersheds.
