The Town of Goderich's 2023-2027 Strategic Action Plan serves as a roadmap to achieve positive results and realize the community's potential. It is structured around five key goals: building and continuously improving safe and reliable infrastructure; strengthening a sense of belonging to foster a welcoming and caring community; developing a strong and resilient local economy; providing good government through effective, transparent, and responsible citizen-focused services; and demonstrating environmental stewardship by protecting natural resources.

This Community Recreational Needs Assessment (CRNA) is a 10-year strategy for the Town of Goderich, aiming to address recreation facility and program needs. The plan outlines recommendations to direct investments in recreation facilities and guide the delivery of recreation services through collaboration with community partners and volunteers. Key focus areas include governance and roles, ice sports and skating, repurposing the Goderich Memorial Arena, investing in outdoor recreation, ensuring inclusion, fostering partnerships and volunteerism, enhancing public awareness, supporting local tourism, encouraging age-friendly opportunities, and promoting sustainability and accountability. The overarching vision is to make Goderich "A Place Where Everybody Plays Together!" by providing quality, accessible, and inclusive recreation services.

This document outlines the Waterfront Master Plan for the Town of Goderich, initiated to provide an updated vision and guide public and private investment for the improvement and revitalization of the waterfront and Near Harbour area. The plan envisions the Goderich Waterfront as a beautiful and natural park, integrating passive, active, and social activities within an ecologically, culturally, and historically sensitive setting accessible to all. Key frameworks include enhancing waterfront access, improving wayfinding and interpretation, developing park spaces and amenities, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting natural heritage and ecology.

The agenda for Meeting #14 of the Rebuilding Downtown Infrastructure Task Force includes approval of the current agenda and adoption of the minutes from Meeting No. 13 held on November 13, 2024. Key discussion points for the design update involve final design drawings, grading and drainage, street lighting, and streetscape elements, including a specific discussion on planter design regarding skateboard deterrents and a proposed design change for the street sign wall to use precast concrete instead of granite. The task force also reviewed updates from stakeholder groups such as Municipal Marine and Heritage, Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee, and Town Operations and Managers. Further items include updates on utility liaison, tendering process, preferred contractor criteria, a probable cost update, wayfinding strategy, and future meetings and milestones.
