Christian Brothers University Work Plan 2023-2025
The 2023-2025 CBU Work Plan focuses on four key goals: increasing enrollment, enhancing reputation, controlling costs, and boosting gift and grant revenue. To increase enrollment, the plan emphasizes new undergraduate programs (Construction Management, Information Analytics, Engineering Technology, Political Science and Politics & Law), online program expansion through a partnership with Rize, new graduate programs (Mental Health Counseling and Cybersecurity), and continued growth in dual enrollment and transfer student recruitment. Reputation enhancement strategies include increasing funded scholarships, promoting undergraduate research, utilizing student satisfaction surveys, activating advisory boards, and fostering a student-centric environment. Cost control measures involve optimizing class sizes, reducing low-enrollment courses, and exploring partnerships with peer institutions. Gift and grant revenue will be increased by cultivating major donors, increasing alumni giving, and encouraging Board of Trustee contributions. The plan aims for a $4.8 million bottom-line improvement by FY 2025, building upon past successes and addressing challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic.
