The meeting covered water quality analysis, pollutant load modeling, and causes and sources of impairment for Mahoney Creek. It was noted that Mahoney Creek has not been assessed by the IEPA, but it drains to the Fox River, which is impaired. One round of water quality sampling was conducted, revealing elevated levels of phosphorus and fecal coliform. The pollutant load analysis identified urban land uses and stream banks as major contributors of nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment. The flood problem areas along Mahoney Creek and its tributary were touched on.

The meeting included a public hearing for a conditional use permit for a drive-through restaurant. The discussion covered the design and location of the proposed Mocha coffee drive-through at 132 Independence Drive, including building materials, landscaping, and traffic flow. The applicant addressed questions about the store's design, customer service approach, and community integration. The meeting included discussion on the Bavia River Corridor Master Plan update. The Hitchcock Design Group was present to review the analyze and connect phase outcomes for the plan. The purpose of the plan is to develop a master plan for the Fox River Corridor through Bavia that focuses on making river connections, providing river activities, improving river ecology, developing the river economy brand, and evaluating the dam and Depot Pond opportunities. The planning process is broken up into four different phases: analyze, connect, envision, and implement. The presentation covered history, resources, planning documents, trends in river recreation, and profiling active River communities.

The meeting centered around a discussion of the Batavia River Corridor master plan update. Hitchcock Design Group and WP BK Engineering presented information regarding the concepts developed in a prior project back in 2000, explaining why particular concepts either moved forward or did not, and how they relate to the four concepts presented at the last meeting. Five concepts were presented, including a new one, and feedback was gathered. The concepts were reviewed with the DNR, and it was confirmed that all approaches would be conceptually eligible for their dam removal funding program.
