Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Goals
This document describes the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program, a national initiative focused on engaging underrepresented undergraduate students in active research. The program's primary goals are to foster students' research interests, provide hands-on experience, enhance their academic portfolios, and prepare them for successful entry into graduate programs, particularly PhD tracks. It achieves this through mentorship, workshops, networking opportunities, and exposure to academic conferences, aiming to develop students into skilled young investigators and competitive candidates for advanced education.
