Board meetings and strategic plans from Samer Awadallah's organization
The Board of Public Affairs meeting included discussions on a proposal from RCAP for GPS Data and GIS Mapping. The Plant Manager reported no violations for May, provided updates on the sewer cleaning project, addressed call outs at the High School and Sunnyside Lift Stations, and presented requisitions. The board accepted the RCAP proposal for GPS Data Collections and GIS Mapping project and discussed sanitary sewer projects scheduled to start in July.
The Board of Public Affairs meeting included the nomination of a Committee Chair person, approval of requisitions for 2018, and approval for Jim Baxter, Tom Graber, and Steve Wise to attend a workshop. The November Monthly Report indicated no violations. Sludge hauling for 2017 was discussed, noting that completion was hindered by cold weather. New grates were installed in 2017, and meters were discussed, but no decision was made. The engineering for the WWTP Back-up generator is expected to be complete by the end of the first quarter of 2018.
The meeting included discussions regarding the video taping of sewer lines, a TDS study for the Sunnyside Lift Station, and alarms triggered by high flow due to rain. Updates were provided on the generator project, which is awaiting EPA review, and the status of sewer lines, which are ready to be sent out to contractors.
The Board discussed locking in electric rates for 2019, a new heater purchase for the filter room, the annual sewer sludge report, a NEFCO application, a roof leak repair, and assessment planning. A question was raised regarding waiving the tap-in fee for a new home construction due to a previous tap at the location. The Engineer discussed plans for the Gentle Brook Condos and the Village's potential ownership of the sanitary sewer lines, as well as the design draft for the sanitary sewer line.
The Board of Public Affairs convened to discuss various topics, including financial matters such as accepting minutes, approving bill payments, reviewing the monthly financial report for January 2018, and approving PTI requests for specific addresses. The Plant Manager provided a report covering monthly performance, TDS levels at the Danbury Glen Lift Station, Ohio EPA inquiries regarding the Sunnyside Lift Station, and meter readings at different lift stations. The Engineer reported on the 619 Project's sanitary sewer relocation, plan review, scheduling, and the timeline for the Generator Project.
