The special session convened to address student discipline matters. The Board appointed the President, Matt Rush, to preside over the hearing. Discussions involved moving into and reconvening from executive sessions to discuss student discipline pursuant to state statute. The Board subsequently voted to find a specific student violated school rules 10, 20, and 21 of Part VI of the Discipline and Conduct policy. Following another executive session to consider punishment, the Board voted to expel the student through the Fall 2027-2028 term and determined that the student would be provided with an alternative online curriculum.
