The committee reviewed the 2026-2027 budget presentations for the Chester County Intermediate Unit and the School District. Agenda items discussed and moved to the full board included financial statements, core service and occupational education budgets, preliminary budget adoption, and various contract renewals for subscriptions, computer services, and employment records. The meeting also covered the approval of donations, additions to staff positions including teachers, custodial and grounds keeping personnel, and athletics coaching positions, as well as a marketing agreement and property tax lien removal.
The meeting included the adoption of a consent agenda and a Human Resources report covering personnel changes. Educational actions involved approving an MOU for a school-based healthcare center, a service agreement with The Lincoln Center for Family & Youth, and the annual agreement for the Brandywine Virtual Academy. The operations committee secured several approvals for Doe Run Elementary, including construction easements, utility agreements with East Fallowfield Township and the Pennsylvania American Water Company, and multiple change orders with Boro Construction for project scope revisions. Additionally, a proposal for soil and infiltration testing at King's Highway Elementary by Evans Mill Environmental, LLC was approved.
The committee reviewed numerous agreements and contracts, including MOUs with the CCIU Head Start, Wilkes University, and Union Community Care, as well as service agreements with The Lincoln Center for Family & Youth. Other agenda items included renewals for Scholastic Magazines, Kami, and Beast Academy, along with a book quote from Barnes & Noble, a booking contract for the LINK program, AFJROTC activities, and student placement agreements with the Pathway School and Brandywine Virtual Academy. Several items were advanced for full board approval, while the PBIS reward contract at NBMS and the Smart Futures quote were not moved forward. Additionally, an informational report on charter school enrollments was presented.
This Comprehensive Plan serves as a roadmap for the Coatesville Area School District, developed through a collaborative process to guide the future of its schools through June 2029. The plan updates the district's Mission, Vision, and Core Belief statements and establishes four SMART goals. It is fundamentally committed to "Building the Future for Student Success" by fostering pride, strengthening unity, and empowering every student.

An informational item provided enrollment reports as of February 28, 2026. Under New Business, the committee noted that 8th-grade students participated in a financial literacy program.
