Planning and Zoning Commission Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting
The Commission discussed two public hearing requests. The first request regarding a special use permit for a construction project was postponed due to the applicant's absence. The second request involved a variance for an accessory structure at the American Doll and Toy Museum. Staff recommended denying the variance, citing that the structure, which protrudes beyond the front yard setback, disrupts the established development pattern and visual character of the area, and that the property's financial needs could be met without the deviation. The applicant provided context regarding the construction process, difficulties with the online permitting system, and the necessity of the storage structure for the museum's growing collection.
