The City Council is considering and may approve a five-year bundle contract with Axon Enterprise, Inc. for body cameras, in-car cameras, and conducted energy devices (Tasers). The proposed contract includes new hardware, equipment, and data storage. The council also discussed credits for early termination of the body-worn camera contract.

The City Council held a budget workshop to discuss and approve a purchase order to Flock Safety Solutions for Flock camera equipment and software. The Flock license plate reader system immediately reports a wanted vehicle to police when it is in view and read by one of the cameras. Camera readers are placed in strategic locations throughout the community. The purchase is recommended as a sole source due to Flock's ability to allow members of its system to communicate with all Flock Departments, its established relationship with IDOT for permits, the ability to use solar power, and its comprehensive monitoring, processing, and vision series.

The Mayors Advisory Board held a virtual meeting where they interviewed candidates for various positions. The interviews covered topics such as youth presence in the community, programming for seniors, mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, interests and experience related to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Youth Commission, the Health Commission, and the Health Commission's focus outside of health and fitness initiatives.
