Scarborough Town Council Council Workshop
The Town Council conducted a workshop to review the draft Climate Action Plan. The discussion encompassed the town's vulnerabilities to climate impacts, such as extreme weather patterns, temperature rise, and drought. The presentation outlined the plan's foundational elements, including greenhouse gas inventories for community-wide and municipal operations, and established guiding principles for sustainable stewardship and transparent governance. Participants also reviewed the community engagement process, which involved public feedback mechanisms and collaboration with local advisory groups to develop and refine the action strategies.
