Union County Comprehensive Plan 2026-2030
The Union County Comprehensive Plan serves as a guide for public and private actions to ensure appropriate and sustainable development within the county. Developed by the Union County Planning Commission in partnership with Union County First and Union County Fiscal Court, the plan outlines eleven key goals. These goals include conserving land resources, gradually eliminating blighted land uses, maintaining orderly growth patterns, encouraging industrial development, preserving natural resources, expanding educational facilities, and providing essential services like fire protection. The plan details strategic initiatives across ten primary focus areas: Emergency Management, Transportation, Community Facility Management, Recreation/Tourism, Housing, IT, Business and Workforce Development, Health, Educational Facilities, and Infrastructure & Utilities, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for Union County residents.
