The Tree Board meeting covers unfinished business including the submission of the management plan, a parks department update, an invitation to the HU Forestry Chair to join the board, and plans for a tree planting project with the Las Vegas Board of Realtors.

The board discussed the status of the management plan, noting that it will be submitted to the Mayor and Council in June and may assist in securing project funding. The board also reviewed a successful recent tree planting event at the high school and addressed the current lack of irrigated parks for memorial tree plantings. Additionally, the board initiated planning for upcoming tree planting efforts in collaboration with the Board of Realtors.

The agenda focuses on the recommendation for approval of several contract addendums, specifically addendum #1 with JJ & Son Excavation for concrete services, addendum #2 with Parson's Lawn & Landscaping Inc. for maintenance, and addendum #3 with Arthur Regional Landfill, Inc. regarding solid waste tipping fees. The meeting also includes a review of monthly reports, status updates on ongoing projects, and member comments.

The council meeting agenda included a finance report and a presentation regarding an update on the Water Treatment Plant. The consent agenda addressed several contract addendums for professional concrete services, lawn and ground maintenance, and solid waste tipping fees, alongside the creation of the Utilities and Public Works Advisory Committee. The committee reviewed the status of several airport infrastructure projects, including a fueling system repair and upgrade, a lighting and signage project, and a wildlife fencing project. They also evaluated the performance of new mowing equipment and received an update on the progress of the airport master plan, which includes an assessment of the old hangar and considerations for future economic development. The necessity of accurate operational records was discussed in light of the airport's current limited operating hours.
