The Board of Education discussed and approved a revision to the employment contract terms for the Treasurer, with the changes set to become effective on August 1, 2026.

The Board held public hearings regarding teacher retirements and re-employment, followed by a regular meeting session. Key actions included the approval of financial reports and a review of the financial forecast. The Board took action on staffing, including re-employing teachers, setting salaries, non-renewing various instructional aide and support staff contracts, and employing supplemental duty personnel. Other business included approving the graduation list, authorizing contracts with the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center, and entering into a digital curriculum services agreement. The Board adopted special education policies, updated athletic handbooks and ticket prices, and adopted the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Additionally, the Board authorized the advertisement for construction of a soccer locker room, updated several board policies, and finalized personnel appointments for the Treasurer position.

The board addressed several personnel matters, including the non-renewal of three limited teaching contracts and the acceptance of a teacher's resignation. Additional actions involved the employment of a Girls Varsity Soccer Coach, the adoption of a revised Bus Mechanic Salary Schedule, and the employment of a new bus mechanic and a substitute bus driver. The board also convened in executive session to discuss the employment of a public employee.

The Board of Education convened for a special meeting, during which they entered an executive session for the purpose of considering the employment of a public employee. Following the executive session, the Board returned to public session and subsequently adjourned.

The board addressed various administrative and financial matters, including the acceptance of tax rates, enrollment in a group retrospective rating program, and approval of specific purchase orders. Key employment actions involved the hiring of a high school principal and a technology director, as well as the approval of substitute staff. The board authorized membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association, an MOU with the Scioto County Career Technical Center, and service contracts with META Solutions. Additionally, the board approved student handbooks for the district's elementary, middle, and high schools, passed a resolution to terminate a grant-funded preschool program, adopted board policies, and established administrative salaries. The session included an executive session to discuss a complaint against an employee and personnel employment matters.
