The first was the Givens annexation, which proposed single-family residential zoning. The second was the Ross Point annexation, which proposed medium-density multi-family residential zoning. Both annexations were reviewed for conformance with the city's comprehensive plan, zoning regulations, and transportation master plan. Public comments were heard, with concerns raised about traffic and the appropriateness of the proposed zoning in relation to existing residential areas.
