Additionally, staff provided updates regarding the scheduled mid-June opening of the boat launch and beach at Q'emiln, and noted that the ponds at Falls Park have been stocked with trout.

The City Council held a workshop focused on the Fiscal Year 2025 preliminary budget. The council addressed the Reasoned Decision for the Thompson Satchwell Annexation and the North Crown Zone Change. Additionally, the council approved a resolution concerning the FY2024 Forgone Tax Reserve, which was necessary to correct an error made by the Kootenai County Assessor regarding annexation values, allowing the city to reserve the correct amount in its foregone balance.
