The joint workshop focused on obtaining feedback and providing guidance regarding modifications to the Clari Park Planned Unit Development, specifically concerning the rear façade of the property, which were concurred to be minor deviations. Additionally, a presentation was provided on proposed updates to the City of Murfreesboro Design Guidelines, aimed at improving clarity, organization, and flexibility, with specific discussion topics including hotel/motel requirements, architecture standards for commercial and industrial zones, and the roles of the stakeholder group.

The council addressed multiple land use matters, including rezoning requests for commercial, residential, and institutional developments, and heard public comments regarding traffic and infrastructure. Various ordinances were passed, including updates to water resource rates, fiscal year 2027 budget appropriations, and the adoption of a certified tax rate. Additionally, the commission reviewed the Murfreesboro Indigenous Plant Project, upcoming plans for the Cannonsburgh 50th Anniversary, a 7-month finance report, and an update on the Old Fort Golf Course renovations and national recognition.
