Discussion also centered on the launch of a new temporary traffic garden as a resource for children, the status of a parent survey regarding transportation adaptations during the pandemic, and an update on the Vision Zero action planning process, including its five core categories: overarching policy, data and evaluation, process and organization, engagement, and education and training.

The School Board convened in an open session before moving to a closed meeting to discuss personnel matters. These matters included seven appointments, 28 changes in position salary, 69 resignations, 17 retirements, two reclassification requests, and the disciplining of an employee, all as authorized by state code. The board subsequently returned to open session to certify that only lawfully exempted public business matters were discussed during the closed meeting.
